It is quite interesting to know how true hanuman (anjaneya)bhaktas or devotees lead their life, what type of experiences they face. Ramakrishna parama hamsa worshipped anjaneya for some time, to find out the power of this worship. soon, he got a tail and he used to jump from one place to another like a monkey.This was written in his biography.

Recently one film actor dhulipala (telugu) was very famous and he developed slowly love for anjaneya. He left his profitable career and gone to a district headquarters gunturu in andhra pradesh to become the worshipper of anjaneya in that town temple. He spent all his years there only worshipping hanuman and breathed his last two years back.

Telugu super actor (megastar) chiranjivi is a great devotee of lord hanuman. His original name prasad was changed into chirnajeevi, which is another name of lord anjaneya.It is believed that anjaneya is still living and he lives till the end of kaliyug , so he is called chiranjivi (who lives forever). Chiranjeevi's brother is kalyan. He is also given a prefix of anjaneya name pavan and then he too became a popular star in telugu cienfield.
Now chiranjeevi is planning to enter into politics of Andhra pradesh and contest for Chief Minister position. He is worshipping his God anjaneya in hyderabad and the above pic shows it.

There is a mystic, esoteric explanation to hanuman or kapindra in yoga. Hanuman got other names like vaayuputra, vaayu nandana, anjani putra, pavanaputra etc. These relate him to god air and his mother anjana devi. One yoga teacher explained this while talking about the vipasana meditation.

every man is a monkey initially with his monkey mind, uncontrolled. He has to keep his attention on his breath ( air, pavana) and continue vipasana meditation till he succeeds in controlling his mind and keeping or restricting his breath at his forehead point (bhrukuti). Then the third eye would be opened and this is called anjana, which helps to find any thing. then you become anjaneya or anjani putra from just simple monkey. By becoming vayu putra, you meditate and evolve as anjani nandana.. this is quite convincing.

Hanuman, the monkey god is seen with folded hands and closed eyes. He always recites dasoham kosalendrasya (' i am the servant of the lord rama"). so he is called dasanjaneya.
With HIS arms folded, he is the paragon of servile humility. But, with a mace in one hand and the other akimbo, there is no obstacle that is insurmountable to anjaneya.(tamil peopel call this god anchaneya). For Hanuman, the monkey god epitomises every virtue - supreme devotion, steadfastness, felicity of thought and speech and courage to list a few.

An early morning stroll along Blythedale Beach near Stanger in KwaZulu-Natal turned into a fascinating experience for two sisters when they came across a statue of the Hindu God Hanuman, slightly embedded in the sand and facing the rising sun.
The hand-painted statue, which weighs around 25kg, has the words "Shri Raam" written on a painted pendant around its neck. Around the waist is a piece of red material which had a softened piece of beetle nut tied in a knot. Just above the base, which appeared to be broken off its mount, is the name "Shri Lanka", neatly hand painted.
"It was such a beautiful looking statue and I think its find is symbolic. When we read the words "Shri Lanka" painted near the base, our immediate thoughts were that it could have been transported by currents after the tsunami disaster," said Jennifer Anne Ruttledge, 56, who with her sister, Greek Island resident Jill Kehagia, 58, made the find on Monday morning. The tsunami struck South East Asia one month ago on Wednesday.
Ruttledge, who owns a beachfront holiday resort said: "Although it would look beautiful on my mantle piece, I will donate the statue to a local temple. If Hanuman made the long trip from Sri Lanka to Stanger, then here is where he will stay."
Speculation is rife as to the origins of the statue. Professor Frank Shellington of the University of Cape Town oceanography department said there had been reports of shoes and other items being transported via sea from the Pacific to the Atlantic in recent years so there are possibilities that could arise.
"However, I feel it is unlikely that a 25kg statue could have been transported by currents over such a great distance. More tests should be conducted to ascertain exactly where the statue could have originated," said Shellington. Selvan Thaver of the Umgeni Road temple said he didn't think the tsunami's debris could have reached South African shores.
"It could have been discarded by a family that had converted, as we have found, on numerous occasions, murthis in the Riverside area as well as the Blue Lagoon. But, in the last six to eight months we haven't discovered any discarded religious statues."
The discovery has also prompted some religious leaders to consider the finding as a reminder to mankind to regroup themselves spiritually.

A court in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh has ordered the state authorities to help free a monkey that has been confined inside a temple for the last month.
The monkey has been kept within the temple's inner-most chambers in the belief that it is the reincarnation of a much loved Hindu monkey god - Hanuman.
The court issued the orders in response to a writ petition filed by an animal rights group, Karuna, based in Anantapur. The bench directed the Anantapur district superintendent of police to send a team of veterinary doctors to examine the condition of the monkey and treat it as necessary. The court also asked the police to extend all necessary help in securing the monkey's freedom.

A spokesperson from the animal rights group, Gangi Reddy, said the monkey was locked up after local people spotted it perched atop an idol of Hanuman in a deserted temple on 1 August. Devotees mistook the monkey to be a reincarnation of Hanuman and the animal has been forcibly confined within the temple's inner sanctum ever since. Local officials say hundreds of devotees throng the temple every day to pay their respects to the monkey. But the court has directed local authorities to examine the entire episode and investigate allegations that the monkey is being used to exploit religious sentiments and make money. Meanwhile, a veterinary doctor who examined the monkey says the animal is in good health - and seems unwilling to leave the temple premises.

Indonesia also knows about ramayana epic and they know about monkey god anjaneya. Recently some troups played ramayana in their language and they disclosed details about their hanuman.

Cambodian theatre group named ‘Classical troupe of Kingdom Group’ enacted the Cambodian version of the epic Ramayana known as ‘Reamker.’
In Reamker, Lord Rama is known as ‘Preah Ream’ and Ravana is known as ‘Krong Reap.’ Sita is called ‘Neang Seda’ and Lakshman brother of Ram is called ‘Preah Leak.’ The name of Hanuman is the same but with a slightly different pronunciation.
Cambodian group artists enacted the entire epic in a ballet; there were no dialogues in the play. Mostly women performed all the roles in the epic. A woman played the role of Lord Rama.“In our country, Ramayana is very popular, even the children know the main characters like Rama, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman,” said Hun Tha, a troupe artiste. Cambodian culture has references of Hindu epic Ramayana from the 10 th century AD.

One of Pakistan's most revered Hindu shrines, a centuries-old Hanuman temple in this southern port city, is set to be renovated thanks to the efforts of the community.
The aesthetically designed Shri Panch Mukhi Hanuman temple in Soldier Bazar is a heritage landmark of Karachi due to its unique five-headed statue of Lord Hanuman.

The government has not extended help for the renovation, and representatives of the temple's management said the work will be done with contributions made by the Hindu community.
''Over the past few years, the number of devotees has increased and so we need to expand the temple. Moreover, the structure of the temple is becoming weaker, so the present priest, Shri Ram Nath Mishra, decided to take the initiative,'' Pawan Kumar Perchani, the advisor to the priest, told The News.
A few years ago, the renovation of the temple's dome cost the community Rs 1.8 million. It is expected that the community will have to raise more money for the renovation that is expected to start soon.But members of the temple's management said funds are hard to come by. ''We don't receive enough donations. Most of the money we collect every day is utilised for the day-to-day upkeep of the temple. We hope the Pakistan Hindu Council, formed recently, is able to raise funds now,'' said a caretaker.The temple is of special significance to the Hindu community. Devotees say Lord Ram too visited the sacred site.

A statue of the Hindu deity Hanuman was dug up from Naikap, Naya Bhanjyang, Sunday, after a lady claiming to have been possessed by Goddess Dakshin Kali and Manakamna marked the place where the Statue was found 14-16 feet underground.
Saraswati Thapaliya who is residing at Baneshwor and currently working at the Tara Krishna Institute, a computer learning centre in Naikap said that she had been having visions of the goddesses for the last eight months but it was only recently that they started possessing her.
“Dakshin Kali Mata and Manakamna Mata would come to me and tell me that my sufferings were over, they would tell me that I was now a part of them and they would protect me and build an ashram for me,” said the divorcee who had left her husband who according to her used to physically torture her.
Thapaliya told The Rising Nepal (TRN) that approximately thirteen deities possess her though she never believed it in the beginning.” Its just been about two weeks that the visions became clear and Manakamana Mata told me that she had sent Hanuman, her brother, to look for the sight where my ashram would be built”.
After the statue was dug up around noon, Thapaliya with her own hands built a small Shiva Linga in front of the newly dug up image and offered prayers. “ Mata told me to ask for forgiveness with the lord Shiva and promise never to eat meat and fish,” she said.
According to locals who had witnessed the incident, it looked like an outside force had taken over her body and though it looked like she was having a fit she knew exactly what she was doing they stated. “ It was like what we see in the movies, she looked the same yet different and she was trembling feverishly,” said 15-year-old Anjali K.C.
According to the locals, they didn’t actually believe her at first and threatened to bury her alive if she didn’t stop acting crazy. “She came here at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning with a lighted incense in her hand and planted it here, she then started screaming, shaking like she had a fit and started dancing around the location which woke us up,” said Shanta Kumar Thapa, a local.
“We thought she had gone mad and told her to go away or else we would dig up a pit and bury her instead,” said Rajmati Maharjan. She also stated that it was only after Thapaliya started trying digging up the site with her head that people came down to help her.
Ganesh Maharjan, the landlord who recently built his house a few metres away from the site informed TRN that when he had wanted to build his house on the location six months back, an astrologer told him not to build it there. “My astrologer told me that it would bring me a lot of bad luck if I built my house here, so I built it a few metres away,” said Ganesh Maharjan. “I never thought my land was so auspicious, I have had no use for it, this is unbelievable,” he said.
The locals have started worshipping Thapaliya who has now become a deity in their eyes now that the statue has been dug up. “ We will construct a temple cum sanctuary here just like she wants, she is not an ordinary person,” said Maharjan and the other locals present there.
Is this just a coincidence, faith or an Extra Sensory Perception (ESP)? Stories of Possession of the body by a so-called deity or the devil are prevalent in many societies, does it really happen? Do unseen forces take over our bodies or is it just our mind playing games with us?

Saving Lakshman

Lord Hanuman contributed immensely during the battle of Ramayan. His contributions in defeats of Kumbhakaran and Lankini were praised by all the gods. All the great and fierce warriors on the side of Ravana were dealt death blows. Soon it started becoming apparent that Lord Rama assisted by Vir Hanuman was a great force and was not going to be easy to defeat. As a final frontier, Ravana asked his son Meghnad to take to the battle. Meghnad had worshipped Lord Indra and obtained Vajrastra, the deadliest weapon, from him. Lakshman, Lord Rama's younger brother took the field against Meghnad. Meghnad used Vajrastra on Lakshman and Lakshman lost consciousness. It was suggested that only a herb named Sanjeevani found in Himalayas could revive him. The task of fetching the magical herb was given to Vir Anjaneya. He flew from Lanka to the himalayas. There, Lord Indra confused him and Hanuman could not find the right herb easily. In order to avoid confusion, he uprooted the whole mountain and flew along with it to Lanka. The herb was administered well in time to Lakshmana. Thus Vir Anjaneya, Pawan Putra Hanuman was responsible for saving the life of Lakshman,

Lanka Dahan

After reaching Lanka, Hanuman looked everywhere and finally reached Ashok Vatika, or Ashok Garden. There he saw Ravana pestering Devi Sita to marry him. He waited for Ravana to leave. Later, he met Sita and identified himself as Ramdoot, or ambassador of Ram. He consoled her and made her aware of Lord Rama's plans of invading Lanka. He delivered Lord Rama's Ring as token of proof to Sita. Upon accomplishing this, Vir Anjaneya was elated and decided to spend a while in Lanka to test the preparedness and strength of Ravana. He thus created a ruckus in the Ashok Vatika and fought and deafeated demons sent to arrest him. As all methods failed, Meghnad, son of Ravana, came to arrest him. Sankat Mochan Hanuman gave him a tough fight and in the end gave himself as a prisoner because he wanted to see the trappings inside the court of Ravana. He was taken to the darbar of Ravana tied with ropes. On seeing him and hearing all the loss caused by him, Ravana was enraged and decided to kill him. Vibheeshan, his younger brother, advised him that it was not wise to kill an ambassador. So, in order to punish him, Ravana gave the order to burn the tail of Hanumana, The Monkey God. Hanuman kept growing the length of his tail so that the kingdom ran short of cloth to wrap around his tail for burning. When all seemed to be lost, Hanuman, stopped growing his tail. His tail was then set on fire. On this, Lord Hanuman quickly broke free from the ropes he was tied in and started burning the kingdom itself.

Journey To Lanka

At the time of the Ramayana, Lord Rama sent Vir Anjaneya as an advance spy to Lanka to search for Sita. Endowed with powers of Vayu, The Wind God, he soared high and easily bridged the distance between Lanka and India. Veer Hanuman was chosen for this task as others were just not capable of flying or soaring for such a long distance. Even Lord Maruti was not aware of his powers. It was Jambwant who reminded him of his powers and thus Sri Hanuman was able to recognise his powers and agreed to go to Lanka as advance spy, searching for Sita. His journey to Lanka was full of adventures. As the myth goes, the sea was inhabited by Sursa, who had been given a boon that everyone crossing the sea had to go into her mouth. She thus faced Hanuman Ji and wanted him to enter her mouth. Vir Hanuman, not wanting to insult the boon given to Sursa, grew himself larger and larger in size. To acommodate his size, Sursa kept opening her mouth to match his size. After reaching a huge towering size, Anjaneya Swami, in a flash grew smaller than a fly, went into Sursa's mouth and came out before Sursa could close her open mouth. Thus the boon to Sursa was not nullified and Anjaneya Swami could complete his journey to Lanka.

As a young monkey god, Hanuman was quite naughty. He was also quite unaware of his powers and stature. This made him use his powers to pester the saints living nearby. There are lots of Hanuman Photos available that show Lord Hanuman using his powers to create whirlwind with his breath, pulling a supporting stick with his tail, pulling a beard and dousing a sacred fire. With passage of time, Hanuman became very naughty and all the saints and gods grew vary of his tantrums. In order to rid themselves of the naughty troubles of Lord Hanuman, they petitioned Lord Brahma to find a solution. Thus a curse was created to protect the world from the mischief that young Hanuman created, by removing his knowledge of his powers.

This curse made Lord Hanuman forget about his powers and thus he did not trouble people anymore. The Power of Hanuman - of which becoming big is just one example - only became available again when Jambavant, King of the bears, reminded Hanuman that he has that power.

On being accepted as a student, Hanuman always stayed with Surya. He always remained facing the sun and moved backwards so as to absorb all pearls of wisdom. Thus he learned all Surya had to teach. On completion of education, as per the Guru Shishya tradition, Hanuman asked Surya what he could offer as Guru Dakshina (teacher's fee). To this, the Sun god refused, saying that the pleasure of teaching one as dedicated as him was the fee in itself. But Hanuman insisted. Thus Surya asked anuman to help Sugriva. Sugriva, another Vanar king, was the spiritual son of Surya. And thus Hanuman promised Surya to protect Sugriva.

Finding a Teacher

Although as a child Hanuman tried to swallow the sun, on growing up, he sought out the Sun god for education. He ascertained that Surya, as Sun is known in the Sanskrit texts, was the all encompassing teacher with immense levels of knowledge. Hanuman raised his body into an orbit around the sun and requested that Surya accept him as a student. Surya was not easily to be cajoled into accepting anyone as a student. Thus he refused, claiming that as he always had to be on the move in his chariot, it would be impossible for Hanuman to learn effectively. This did not deter Hanuman's zest for a good teacher. In order to impress his teacher, Hanuman enlarged his body; he placed one leg on the eastern ranges and the other on the western ranges and with his face turned toward the sun, made his request again. This pleased Surya no end. He was very impressed by the persistence and respect shown by this young student. He thus accepted him as a student.

Swallowing Sun

As a child, Hanuman was inmmensely naughty. He was not aware of powers vested into him. He would take any chance to entertain himself and nothing was impossible for him. Once he wondered at the brightness of the sun and assuming the sun to be a ripe fruit, he once took flight to catch hold of it to eat. Being son of Vayu, he was able to leap great heights and flow with the wind. So he reached the sun and tried to swallow it as a child would swallow fruit. Indra, the king of gods observed this. He hurled his weapon, the Vajra (thunderbolt) at Hanuman, which struck his jaw. He fell back down to the earth and became unconscious. This upset his father Vayu greatly. To mourn his son's hurt, Vayu went into seclusion taking along with him all the atmosphere and the constituents of it. This caused a lot of peril to the living beings dependent upon air and oxygen. As living beings began to get asphyxiated, to pacify Vayu, Indra withdrew the effect of his thunderbolt, and the devas revived Hanuman and blessed him with multiple boons. However, a permanent mark was left on his chin (hanuhH in Sanskrit).

Birth

The story of Hanuman's birth goes thus. Hanuman was born in the Treta Yuga. His mother was the queen of Vanars, a species of monkeys. Her name was Anjana. Now the myth is that Anjana was actually an apsaras or a celestial being, named Punjikasthala. She was cursed to be boen amongst Vanars and was to be set free from the curse upon her giving birth to an incarnation of Lord Shiva. She was married to Kesari, the Vanar King .

Along with Kesari, Anjana performed intense prayers to Shiva to beget Him as her Child. Pleased with their devotion, Shiva granted them the boon they sought.

There is no one story that goes to the birth of Lord Hanuman. There are different stories regarding his incarnation to the earth. One story relates to the penance of Anjana. When she was offering prayers to Lord Shiva, separated by geography, elsewhere, Dasaratha, the king of Ayodhya, was performing the Putrakama Yagna in order to have children. Dasaratha, with his Yagna, received some sacred pudding, which was to be shared by his three wives, leading to the births of Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata and Shatrughna. By divine ordinance, a kite snatched a fragment of that pudding, and dropped it while flying over the forest where Anjana was engaged in penance. Vayu, the Hindu deity of the wind, delivered the falling pudding to the outstretched hands of Anjana, who consumed it. Hanuman was born to her as a result.

The other story is that shortly after the completion of her penance, Anjana encountered the wind god Vayu. Taken by her charms, and knowing of her destiny, he made love to her, fathering Hanuman with her consent.

Being Anjana's son, Hanuman is also called Anjaneya (pronounced Aanjanèya), which literally means "arising from Anjani".

Hanuman darshan to tulasi das

tulasi das goswamy is a saint, rama bhakta and dedicated his life to rama bhakti and contributed to the world of devotion by writing a great epic called tulasi ramayan or rama charita manasa. This ramacharita manasa was written in local language bhojpuri in Uttar pradesh in the years around 1500 AD. Thus this epic became very very popular among the common men, rustic people and rama charita reached every house and hut in the villages and forests alike. Tulasidas wanted to have rama darshan as it was his only ambition , but having rama darshan is not easy. tulsidas tried for a long time but could not achieve it.
Then he thought or understood that without the help and permission of lord hanuma none can reach rama. Same thing he sung in hanuman chalisa. ram dware tum rakhware, hota na ajna binu paithare.. means, without your permission none can reach lord rama as you are sitting at the entrance of rama world. so tulsidas wanted to get blessings of hanuman or anjaneya.. but how to catch him? It is also not easy. Hanuman shows the way for genuine requests of the rama devotees or hanuman devotees.Through a brahma rakshasi (a great devil, demon) tulasi dass understood that hanuman is daily coming and attending his discourses on ramayana in varanasi.

So, on that day he followed the ugly looking old man who came early to the discourse and left last after the discourse. When the ugly looking old man was travelling in a nearby forest, tulasi das caught hold of his feet and prayed heartfully to give the darshan of hanuman and further provide the darshan of rama. Hanuman then showed his real form and promissed that he would show rama and lakshmana next day. next day tulasi dass was waiting but no rama lakshmana . Only two beggars came to his house for alms. But lord hanuman exhorted tulasidas from top of a tree in a parrot form, singing the ram nam. Tulasi understood the signal and caught hold of the lotus feet of rama and lakshmana. That itslef has cleared all his sins from lives innumerable.

anjaneya swamy likes ram nam very much. singing glory of rama, or ramayana epic is liked and loved by anjaneya swamy very much and he presents himself there listening with folded hands and tears in eyes. we may not see this always but happens. He can appear at any number of places at a time , be it in millions. But there should be warmth in the prayer or love and affection in the singing. Dedication to the meaning and rama bhakti is required.

Anjaneya is a symbol for courage and sure win. Thats why arjuna requested anjaneya to be on his flag as it is a sure shot win symbol. Lord krishna also told that when anjaneya flag is fluttering on the chariot of arjuna and when lord krishna is driving the chariot , none can beat it. This is a symbolic secret to win. Keep the lord God in your heart and keep symbol of anjaneya also as a picture or talisman then you will surely win.
The symbol of anjaneya can also be had as the tikka or tilaka or sindhoor wearing on the forehead or heart which symbolises great victorious God anjaneya or kapiraju(king of monkeys). some people wear talisman, taveez for protection and it is very good. It improves the winning chances. If you have a car or vehicle, stick a sticker of anjaneya and it protects you from accidents and increases the life of vehicle. The works attempt by going in that car will have lot of success chances.Anjaneya likes tuesday and saturday and those two days devotees worship him . Dasami thithi or the tenth day from fullmoon day is auspicious to worship Him.
Why success is sure with anjaneya. Because all the gods have given their powers to anjaneya and blessed Him that no weapon in the world can harm Him. So he became invincible. Otherwise also he is the amsa avatar of lord shiva. Anjaneya is one among the 11 rudras or manifestations of lord shiva. One more thing is he got enormous vaishnava power by continuous recitation of Sree rama name and by devoting himself to lord rama. Thus he got full powers of lord vishnu and lord shiva which is unique in the universe. He is worshipped by both shivites and vaishnavaites.

Lord Hanuman is one way hero of ramayana oneway. Hanuman is powerful, intellegent, and highly devotional. Hanuman saved many lives in ramayana epic including rama, lakshmana, sita and bharata. How? He brought the news that sita is alive to rama and that word gave life to rama. secondly when naga astra is applied on rama and lakshmana, both fainted and struggling for life. Then hanuman went and broght garuda which drove off the snakes and saved the life of rama and lakshmana. When lakshmana fainted because of the astra of indrajeet, hanuman flew immidiately to Himalayas and brought the medicinal plants sanjivini which saved the life of lakshmana. When sita was about to hang herself to a tree with her long hair, hanuman sang the glory of rama which gave life and hope to sita . When bharata pledged that he would end his life if rama is not stepping in ayodhya just after the 14 years of vana vasa, hanuman gone to him and informed the arrival of rama which saved the life of bharatha.Thus Hanuman is the life giver and saver to all the important heroes and others in ramayana and destroyer of demons. So Hanuman is much eligible for worship for life and energy. Sanjivani power still remains in his blessing hand. He is praised as lakshmana pranadata, the life giver to lakshmana. So when you are sick or ill, it is very wise to pray to lord hanuman, the dwadasa nama mantra (hanuman anjana sunuhu...). In this sloka or mantra itself it is ascertained that those who recite this mantra will not have the fear of death. That means, no unwarranted , untimely death. Hanuman has a body so hard as a diamond , so he is called vajra kaya, he who has a body like a diamond. All the body builders worship Him for a good body and pure health.
